Click “Site Actions->New Site”
For Template, select “Basic Meeting Workspace”

For Title, type “My MW”
For Url, type “MyMW”
Click “Create”
Review the meeting workspace. A meeting workspace is a site that is dedicated to a single meeting, these can also be created from Outlook
o Open Outlook
o Click “New->Meeting Request”

o For the To, type “user@domain.com”
o For the subject, type “Talk about SharePoint 2010 Training!”
o For location, type “Seattle, WA”
o Click the “Meeting Workspace” button
o Click “Create"
Add the Meeting Workspace button to Outlook
Click “File->Options”

Click “Quick Access Toolbar”
Select “Meeting Workspace”, click “Add”

Click “OK”
Click the new “Meeting Workspace” icon in the top left:

In the “Meeting Workspace” pane, click “Change Settings”

In the “Select a location” drop down, select “Other…”
o For the workspace server, type http://servername
o Click “OK”, the template drop downs will load
o Ensure that English and Basic Meeting Workspace is selected

o Click “OK”
o Click “Create”, you should now see your meeting with a link to the workspace:

Open your site (http://servername)
Click “Site Actions->Site Settings”
Under “Site Administration”, click “Sites and Workspaces”
Notice your new “Talk about SharePoint Training” meeting workspace!

Click the link to the workspace, notice how it has been prepopulated for you:
